Paranormal Activity too scared to go up against Halloween?
OK, so as previously stated Paramount Pictures plans to release the 4th installment of the ever so profitable Paranormal Activity franchise. Personally I am yet to see the 3rd one, waiting on the DVD release, so if you have seen it feel free to leave your comments below!
The guys over at horrorbid.com have announced that the Hollywood Reporter has Paranormal Activity 4 slated as an October 19th release, avoiding a head-to-head clash with Halloween 3D due for release one week later on October 26th.
Personally I don’t think a $5 billion franchise shouldn’t be worrying about any competition, it is the competition! The guys over at Horror Bid, with absolutely no disrespect intended have labeled H3D as “highly anticipated” … I have to disagree. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, one thing Rob Zombie did and did well was build hype and excitement around his two entries. Constant casting updates and posting photos from on set was great! On the other hand, Zombies’ entry may also be one of the reasons for my personal lack of anticipation. Apart from officially announcing H3D as “in production” more than six months ago there has been no other news … and its due for release in a little over 9 months?!?!
Anyways, so what are your thoughts? Too scared or just the date they went with?
