Halloween 6 (1995)

Its been six years since Halloween was celebrated in Haddonfield as it was banned after the last Halloween massacre in 1989. Jamie has been missing ever since. She has been captured by “The Man in Black” and has been artificially inseminated (or possibly raped if you watch the Producer’s Cut) and gives birth on October 30th. With the help of a kind nurse she escapes from a deep dark dungeon with her baby.

Jamie makes it to a local bus station with Michael following closely behind. She places a call to a Haddonfield radio station playing over the bus terminal’s speakers. She begs Dr. Loomis to help her, and of course he just so happens to be listening…so does Tommy Doyle, the young man who Laurie Strode was babysitting that Halloween night in 1978 when she was attacked by Michael Myers.

Tommy is completely obsessed with Michael, so much so he even now lives across the street from the Myers’ house…where the relatives of Laurie’s adoptive parents live – A family that consists of Mr. and Mrs. Strode, their two children Kara and Tim, and Kara’s son Danny. By being across the street he can keep watch the house, and those that live there.

Tommy overhears Jamie on the radio that night and takes the call seriously. After some detective work, he discovers she called from the bus station. He heads to the station, hoping to find her, but instead finds her son wrapped up and hidden in a bathroom cabinet. He takes the baby to a local hospital where he runs into Dr. Loomis. Tommy tells him the baby is Jamie’s and also informs Dr. Loomis about the Strode’s living in Myers house. Dr. Loomis goes to the house to warn the Strode’s that Michael will return to his house…

Tommy runs into Danny, and since nobody is home he sits and waits for Kara to return. Probably so Danny doesn’t get killed by Michael. When Kara gets home they go to Tommy’s apartment across the street so they can watch the Strode home and hopefully stay safe.

Tommy tells Kara about his theory on Myers. He talks about Thorn, an ancient ruin symbol that represented a demon that spread sickness and brought death to thousands of people. According to legend, one child from each tribe was inflicted with the curse of thorn. They had to kill their family on the night of Samhain (Halloween) and if they did so it could spare the death of many others. Tommy noticed that the Thorn symbol was a constellation of stars that whenever it appeared, so did Michael. Tommy figures that there are people out there trying to get Steven (Jamie’s baby) to be Michael’s final sacrifice.

Tommy leaves to meet with Dr. Loomis at the Halloween festival and get his help, and Kara, Steven and Danny stay behind at Tommy’s apartment.

The festival is being thrown by Kara’s brother, Tim, and his girlfriend Beth, because people are sick of Halloween no longer being celebrated.  Eventually they leave and head back home, where Kara sees them through the window across the street. Of course Michael shows ups and Danny runs back to his house where Kara must follow.

One thing leads to another, Kara and Danny get captured and are brought to the hospital/sanitarium where Dr. Loomis and Tommy must rescue them.

The Producer’s Cut

Of course, if you’re watching the Producer’s Cut, then the story goes on much differently…Something like this…

For the most part the whole first half of the movie is the same with added scenes that don’t really change the storyline. It isn’t until Kara and Danny are kidnapped that the whole movie COMPLETELY changes from the theatrical version.

Instead of Kara being locked in a room in Smith‘s Grove, she’s tied up to an altar of sorts. An altar we see in a dream of Jamie’s as she lies in the hospital bed earlier in the Producer’s Cut. She doesn’t die when Michael finds her in the beginning as she fleas the bus station. Instead in this cut she is shot in the hospital. It is in this dream that it is implied that Jamie has been raped by Michael and later its implied that it is Michael‘s baby by Kara when she‘s on the altar speaking to him.

Dr. Loomis and Tommy stand outside the house discussing how they were drugged and how Kara must have been taken to the sanitarium, so they head there like they do in the theatrical cut, but once they arrive Tommy fills Dr. Loomis in on Thorn and how there are rune’s of protection he might be able to use to stop Michael and end the evil.

Tommy waits out in the hall while Dr. Loomis speaks with Dr. Wynn about Myers and how he oversees Myers and gave him the power and how it is now Dr. Loomis’ turn…

When Tommy sees someone wearing a funny costume, he decides to follow them and gets locked in the ward. He continues to follow the man until he reaches the altar room where Kara is still chained down, and a ritual is about to take place. Both Danny, Steven, and Myers are there as Wynn speaks about the ritual. Tommy grabs Wynn and forces the “cult” members to release Kara. They run and try to escape, but the gate is still locked to the ward, and they can’t. Michael is right behind them, and Tommy decides to try to use his “protection” runes to stop Michael. It stops Michael in his tracks, and everyone leaves the building.

Dr. Wynn finds Michael just standing there stopped by the runes and we see that Michael is obviously pissed at Dr. Wynn.

Dr. Loomis tells the others he has unfinished business and he goes back into the hospital when they leave. Loomis discovers Myers lying on the ground. He approaches him and tells him its all over. He removes the mask and its Dr. Wynn! He grabs Dr. Loomis and tells him that Michael has escaped, and now its Dr. Loomis’ turn to watch over him. The thorn symbol appears on Loomis’ wrist, and he begins screaming as the we see Myers walking down one of the corridors leaving Smith’s Grove…

Please don’t ask where you can purchase the producer’s cut, it is not sold on this website. Check out YouTube for scenes. Or Ebay, although I think they’ve really cracked down on selling this on there.
