Halloween II (1981)

Picking up right where the first film finished off, this story continues on the same Halloween night in 1978.

Loomis runs outside after shooting Michael off the 2nd floor balcony. Only to discover that he’s gotten up and walked away leaving a bloody imprint in the grass.

Laurie gets taken away to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital while Loomis and Sheriff Brackett hunt down Michael. The trail leads to the elementary school where Nurse Marion Chambers (the nurse who went with Dr. Loomis in the beginning of the first film) tracks Loomis down, and tells him that he must return to Smith’s Grove Sanitarium – governors orders. She also tells him a secret sealed file on Michael has just been opened. The file reveals the reason behind his Halloween Massacre. Laurie Strode is his sister!

Loomis orders the taxi turn around so he may go to the hospital and save Laurie but what he doesn’t know is that Myers is already at the hospital slicing and dicing his way through the staff to get to his sister. The question is, will Loomis make it in time to rescue Laurie and kill Michael?

Considering there are a few more sequels after this one…its pretty obvious what the answer to that question is…

I wasn’t a huge fan of it growing up, I don’t know why, there is just something about it that doesn’t sit well with me. But I love some of the deaths and I LOVE that it continues on the same night as the first one.

  3. sad to hear you don’t like it Kat.

I love H2 and agreed with Reed (hehe), it is my fav. sequel. I love the hospital setting, the remixed theme and the Sandman song lol

Yeah, there are a ton of things I enjoy about it now, just growing up I didn’t. I love Jimmy though, he’s a cool character. I also like the actor in Jaws The Revenge :)

  5. This is definately one of the better sequels. I also think Halloween 6 was a class act!
