RZ’s Halloween II (2009)

After vowing that he would not return for a sequel, in 2009 Rob Zombie once again took the directors chair to continue his vision of the Halloween series.

Just like the original 1981 sequel, Rob Zombie’s ‘H2′ picks up exactly where the first film finished. Laurie is found aimlessly wondering the streets uttering the words “I killed him” whilst Michael is being loaded into the back of the coroners van ready for transportation to the county morgue, a destination that would never be reached.

After a lengthy opening hospital scene, reminiscent of the original sequel, we are brought forward two years to present day. The bubbly teenage Laurie is no longer, but is instead a destructive personality who unsuccessfully, is trying to come to terms with the traumatic events of two years ago.

Dr. Sam Loomis returns as sadly, a less than favorable egotistical maniac busy touring the country promoting his new book – a book that reveals a hidden truth which will push Laurie even further over the edge.

Michael once again returns to Haddonfield, thanks to visions from his dead mother, to wreak a gruesome, violent onslaught against Haddonfield’s innocent.

Once again Michael and Laurie show down in the films finale in the presence of their dead mother. Rob Zombie’s ‘H2′ is unlike any other entry to the series, with visions of his dead mother and mythological references this one is sure to leave you scratching your head and pulling some “what the?” faces throughout!
